64th New York Film Festival Poster by Marcel Dzama

Official posters for the 64th New York Film Festival—designed by multidisciplinary artist Marcel Dzama—are available now for pre-order, exclusively at Posteritati. Dzama joins an incredible lineup of acclaimed artists across a range of media who have contributed their work to the festival since its inception, including David Hockney, Niki de Saint Phalle, Sol LeWitt, Diane Arbus, Josef Albers, Laurie Anderson, Richard Serra, Nan Goldin, and David Byrne.

Dzama: "I'm beyond grateful to have this opportunity to be able to collaborate with the New York Film Festival. What a complete honor as a longtime fan of both the film programming and the artists that made the posters before me. When I was first asked to do this collaboration I knew immediately that I wanted to weave elements of George Méliès’s A Trip to the Moon, Loie Fuller’s Serpentine Dance, and my own interpretation of Federico García Lorca’s surrealist screenplay of A Trip to the Moon. I wanted the poster to represent the vibrant programming, bold selections, and groundbreaking art that I’ve come to know from NYFF. I wanted it to feel like a celebration."
